Month of Love. For that is what you bring! Ava our Love! Beautiful long flowing hair. Beautiful cute chubby cheeks. Beautiful smile and personality! We celebrated your first Valentine’s Day and I wanted you to know that this year and every year after, my heart belongs to you!… Oh, and some to Mommy too.
Lets have a good 2012!!
This will be your OFFICIAL first FULL year of existence! 🙂 Lets try and make this a healthy and happy year full of good surprises!
Winter Season ’11
So this would technically be your first holiday season! You show more expression. You make sounds. Not really at an age of appreciation of the holidays. But you do like the pretty lights from our Christmas tree. You are the greatest gift any of us could’ve received and I couldn’t ask for anything more.
6 months in..
So its been such a roller coaster of a ride these past months! Everything is new, everything is intense, everything is just non stop! 🙂
You have our FULL attention.. We’re talking EVERY single minute of the day revolves around YOU.
Welcome to YOUR World! Hahaha
As you can see from the pictures, you have reached a milestone in not only reaching 100 days (Dol) but also learning to sit up all on your own!
First few months
So hardly anytime to do anything especially post. But here is a quick update in the first few months so far. 2 X 2 shifts. Meaning you sleep for about two hours. Wake for two consists of enough time to eat, pee/poop, diaper change, play for a little, share love, then rock away back to sleep. Then repeat. 5 minutes of sleep is heaven.

We love you! Words cant describe the feelings we felt on your arrival. Your mom was very brave and amazing throughout your delivery!
You have and will forever change how our lives are now lived.
For our love for you is undeniable, unselfish and unconditional!
Welcome to our world!

Lisa aka Mommy!
So this is it, our baby is HERE! You finally did it! I just really wanted to say that I am truly proud of you and what you have endured these past 9 months. 9 months!! Can you believe it has been that long already? Thank you for being amazing and not going all preg-zilla on me. I WILL definitely miss your belly and all the quirks it has brought to you. I tried my best to support and be there as much as i can for you and hope that I fulfilled my husbandry duties. BTW I just wanted to let you know that throughout your WHOLE entire pregnancy you NEVER looked pregnant … from the back! 🙂 AND didn’t gain any back fat! Also, I do get jealous when your nighttime intimate moments are most often shared with … our toilet. lol This is going to be a very exciting and learning experience for us, but know deep down that you and me both can endure any challenge that we face. One thing is for sure, I will continually work hard on being the most caring, nurturing and supportive father and HUSBAND I possibly can. You will be a great mother! You already are, that’s why. lol We both can agree it will NOT be easy, but babe, WE can do this! So it begins! To our new friends. Stuff animals, baby bottles, diapers and wipes. Not to forget watermelon. It was there when you needed him most. Sometimes more then once a day. 😛 Also, to all the other fruit. Don’t forget to thank them all for their ongoing support. lol Nine months! Do you remember the day we found out? The day the doctor made it official? The first sonogram, and the first 3D sonogram? The discovery of the sex!! Which your reaction becomes more memorable! I wish us more moments to add to the wonderful memories we already have. This is truly the beginning of something new and I couldn’t be any happier. I love you more then I can ever remember. I wish us the best and pray for a healthy and good delivery! “I see you. I hear you. What you say, matters to me.” 🙂 Let’s do this babe!!

Lisa update – Week “Too many!”
So Lisa’s pictures are back on the blog!! Yaaay. She finally felt good enough to want to take pictures this fine Saturday afternoon. It was a good day and she felt okay throughout it but at night baby wasn’t cooperating and moving non stop, which caused mommy a lot of pain. We did the usual errands and slowly prepared for the week to come. Lisa is scared that these last couple of days might give her the stretch marks she dreadfully fears. lol But, all in all she still looks great for a full time preggo! 🙂
More building!
So after the crib we bought the mall mounted shelf and dresser from Ikea. The dresser was easy to build and only took around 45 minutes to finish. It turned out to be a lot better looker then i thought, and Lisa really likes it. So, now the room is almost finished. We mounted the shelf which was a total b*!#h. Just call me “mister put holes in the wall”. lol Anyway, nothing a little spackle and touch up paint can’t fix, right? 😛 With a few more decorations and a lounge chair it should all be finished!
Daddy Gift!!!!!
So after a long day of work i pick up Lisa for a Friday night date and eat at Curry House (our spot). While in the area we went to go pick up a few more things at Babies R Us that we need, such as tub, bibs, nipple pads 🙂 and other stuff. So, at dinner Lisa tells me that she’s going to give me my Daddy gift! “Daddy gift?!” I get really excited and seriously have NO idea what it is. I still couldn’t even believe that she got me something. I really didn’t expect anything. Enough to where i started to feel guilty. lol But anyway, when we got home she made me close my eyes and stick out my hands to feel it out and guess what it is. So what is it?? As soon as i felt it, i knew what it was. 😛 (But couldn’t say anything) But I’ll tell you why in another post. lol An IPAD 2!! Oh sheit! I loooove this thing!! I was soooo surprised AND happy and couldn’t believe she spent that much. But it was the perfect gift for me. I couldn’t have been happier! I felt really lucky and have the BEST wife EVER!! Thank you Lisa Kim.
Lisa Update – Week 39
Week 39! Well, in OUR books. The doctors schedule states Lisa is only at 38 weeks. But Lisa and I think otherwise. So i didn’t even take this picture, Lisa did. I just found it on the camera and thought “cool”, one more post to add! So, as you can see there’s a difference in size. FULL on preggo! At least Lisa is in good spirit this morning and decided to take a picture, considering she hasn’t let me take one of her in a veeeeery long time. Her trips to the bathroom are pretty consistent throughout the day and at night averages around 1-2 times. Comfortability is at the absolute worst. But she still gets through it!
Cutest things ever!
So this is what i have to look forward too! Seeing all her clothes all washed and hung in her closet just really makes me happy. I catch myself just standing in front of the closet just staring at her stuff. To think that there will be someone soon to fill all these clothes, to play with these toys, and to use all the diapers 😛 Eeewww.. lol But seriously I’m getting more and more excited … AND a little nervous!
Crib Time
So this is the crib making day. Lisa ordered this thing from Diapers.com and it wasn’t that hard to build. But i do have to say that it was a little harder then the typical Ikea installations. Ikea is the easiest. All in all, it was everything we expected and it does really look good. Now all we need is a dresser, maybe a wall shelf, lamp and rug! Then we’re all done! Yeeeeah right! Oh yeah, another thing is that Lisa also ordered the Winnie the Pooh bedding set. That was something i totally agree on since i think it’s really really cute. But, she had to correct me that it can’t just be any Winnie the Pooh, it has to be “classic” Winnie the Pooh! It took me like an hour and a half. On a late Tuesday night! 😦
Location: Home
So Lisa is officially on Maternity leave from work. My guess is that she’ll get extremely bored by day 2, but will get in that comfort zone by day 5. She has her weekly appointments now and is now full-term, meaning the baby can arrive at anytime. Today i will plan to pack her hospital bag and any essential needs for her hospital stay. I’m hoping the baby comes soon because she is getting really uncomfortable day-by-day. Her back and stomach are causing her pain and discomfort and her mobility is very very limited. She still looks hot 😛 and didn’t get fat, but her belly IS noticeably at 9 months pregnant. Her resistance to taking pictures is at the max. Even though she looks beautiful, she doesn’t want to take any pictures. So I’m going to try and sneak some in at some point. I love the experience more and more and really can’t wait. Lisa did amazingly well this pregnancy! I never ONCE thought to myself that she was miserable. I’m guessing she just hid it well. She took really good care of herself and kept the consistency of not giving me a hard time and being an incredible wife. I’m very grateful and wish everything goes well during labor.
Week 36/Ditch day!
So I wake up feeling like crap. Oh well this whole weeks been like this. But this morning Lisa wasn’t feeling it either. So she asks me ” Wanna just stay home and hang out together?” Oh, but of course!! All this on a BEAUTIFUL 90 degree California sunny day. Ditch day for sure! So we had to “pretend” we were going to work, for the parents sake and got ready and left to go eat breakfast and spend our day in Torrance. We later went to Anaheim to go pick up the babies stroller at Bergstrom’s. Then we later hung out at our new house in Carson.
Lisa Update: Back is killing her. She doesn’t know if she can make it to 40 weeks. She feels like a huge whale. Constantly trying to get comfortable. Feeling really really tired like in the beginning of the pregnancy.
Routine
So these last couple of weeks have been pretty much the same old routine. I’m not complaining but this is just how are schedule has been lately. I actually kind of like it. Good old family time. I would say that the whole time living at the Gardena house that this is the most QT time I’ve spent with the parents. The last couple of weekends have been a very interesting and bonding experience dealing with the house and installing the new stuff. From the OTR microwave, to the washer/dryer, to the sofa and then finally the bed. I’ve learned that we’re not alone and we’re all in this together. Which is nice. All this house stuff has been really tiring, but also exciting at the same time. I like working and building stuff for the house and seeing it all slowly come together. All the work put in makes me appreciate the house that much more. It’s already gaining it’s sentimental value. So, anyway, the last couple of weeks have been American Idol, NBA Playoffs, Our House, and Baby stuff. Then repeat. Almost there, almost over. For everything!…. Well, not over, the BEGINNING! 🙂
Prenatal Peak Round 2
So this is week 36 photo session number 2! She’s a lot bigger, super cute and almost ready to come out. I really hope she’s on time. Not early, not late, just around that May 24th window.
Lisa Update: Oh em gee. Lisa has been really struggling with her back lately. I guess the weight is really putting a strain on her. Well, i guess it doesn’t help that she’s still working AND doing a lot of stuff for our house. She’s still in fairly good spirit, but, she is definitely having more and more extremely uncomfortable days.
NOT a good day.
So this day Lisa’s comfort level would have to be around a 2 out of 10. Very annoyed and uncomfortable. Body aches, loss of breath and overall just crappy. She didn’t want me to take a picture. She also said “SERIOUSLY, NO!”. So, what did i do? I took them anyway. lol Tough luck mama, i need footage. As you can see in the pictures she is NOT a happy camper. I felt bad and gave her an amazing massage that night, which made her wake up the next morning feeling wonderful!!
Andy’s Birthday/Week 34
So this was a night where we celebrated Andy’s Birthday. We feasted on Lobster, Crab AND shrimp!! Plus King’s Hawaiian rainbow cake. Reeeeaaally good eating while also watching some playoffs!
Lisa Update: This was also week 34 for Lisa and we are now at the stage of a birth day countdown. This day she felt really tight. Not so cranky and her mood was overall pretty good. She didn’t feel frumpy enough to not wanna take pictures so i took them. Her back was a little sore but not at the stage where it was unbearable.
Birthdays
So this is the week of birthdays. Michelle, Andy and Cary. We all celebrated Michelle’s over at Bottega Louie’s which was really good. The food was good, the price wasn’t too steep and overall the environment and people were cool. We later went to a place called the “Library Lounge” to chill and have a couple of drinks. Another good night with good company.
