Winter Season ’12

Warm coats, gloves and UGGS! They are so cute at this size. Actually, everything is cute at your age.  Jordan’s, UGGS, parka jackets, and vests… everything. Play-Doh is one of your favorite toys so we made sure to make that one of your Christmas presents.

We took you for a trip down to Candy Cane lane in Torrance to where not only was it your first time but mine as well.  Neighborhood full of beautiful homes decked out in the most extravagant Christmas lights and decorations.  You had a really good time seeing all the lights and also getting to visit Santa Clause!  Hopefully we can make this a yearly thing and another one of our family traditions.

Happy first birthday!

Very big day, very big occasion. You are now 1! Just like a wedding you have TWO different outfits.  One for the formal festivities and one for the “after” party. 🙂 You looked amazing and I really love how Grandma did your hair. Friends and family joined us from all across the way and had a really good time celebrating YOU.

From good food, good entertainment and good company.  Everything went as planned and will be a day we all celebrated well.

Mother’s day

So this year will be the first year Lisa will be sharing her first Mother’s day! Well… technically 2nd, since you were alive and kicking in her tummy at this time last year.

Your smiles, laughter and HAIR melts our hearts and brings SOOO much joy into our lives! You are OUR blessing!

1 year picture taking

So i guess this is the “norm”.  Taking professional pictures for your first birthday.  We set this up with a photographer at a local park to capture some pictures of you for your very first birthday.  Perfect California weather, not too hot or cold and you were in a good mood throughout.

The rocking dog was not yours and just a prop. But, the doll on ground next to you was the very first doll we got you. Her name is Lola. Hopefully she can be one of your child hood treasures that you can keep for a long time to cherish.

Daddy misses you!

Work is seriously taking a toll on your Daddy. I dont like having to leave you and Mommy on your own.  Not only do I miss you both, I feel like I should be there to help support the both of you.  Mommy is awesome being able to do what she does while I’m away 🙂

I am currently looking for a new job so that I can be home there with you both all the time.

First few months

So hardly anytime to do anything especially post. But here is a quick update in the first few months so far. 2 X 2 shifts. Meaning you sleep for about two hours. Wake for two consists of enough time to eat, pee/poop, diaper change, play for a little, share love, then rock away back to sleep. Then repeat.  5 minutes of sleep is heaven.

Lisa aka Mommy!

So this is it, our baby is HERE! You finally did it!  I just really wanted to say that I am truly proud of you and what you have endured these past 9 months.  9 months!! Can you believe it has been that long already? Thank you for being amazing and not going all preg-zilla on me.  I WILL definitely miss your belly and all the quirks it has brought to you.  I tried my best to support and be there as much as i can for you and hope that I fulfilled my husbandry duties.  BTW I just wanted to let you know that throughout your WHOLE entire pregnancy you NEVER looked pregnant … from the back! 🙂 AND didn’t gain any back fat! Also, I do get jealous when your nighttime intimate moments are most often shared with … our toilet. lol  This is going to be a very exciting and learning experience for us, but know deep down that you and me both can endure any challenge that we face.  One thing is for sure, I will continually work hard on being the most caring, nurturing and supportive father and HUSBAND I possibly can.  You will be a great mother! You already are, that’s why. lol We both can agree it will NOT be easy, but babe, WE can do this!  So it begins! To our new friends.  Stuff animals, baby bottles, diapers and wipes.  Not to forget watermelon.  It was there when you needed him most.  Sometimes more then once a day.  😛 Also, to all the other fruit.  Don’t forget to thank them all for their ongoing support. lol Nine months! Do you remember the day we found out? The day the doctor made it official? The first sonogram, and the first 3D sonogram? The discovery of the sex!! Which your reaction becomes more memorable!  I wish us more moments to add to the wonderful memories we already have. This is truly the beginning of something new and I couldn’t be any happier.  I love you more then I can ever remember.  I wish us the best and pray for a healthy and good delivery! “I see you. I hear you. What you say, matters to me.” 🙂 Let’s do this babe!!
